About me
|
Thanks for dropping by my profile and hopefully listening to a few of my mixes................ I first started listening to music back in the late 70's, i was really into the ska scene, especially loving the sound of the nutty boys "MADNESS" and the specials etc.... Then in 84' one day at school, a mate of mine brought in a cassette of streetsounds electro 5, and i was instantly hooked, to the electronic vibes and ive not looked back since.... i bought all the electro albums and instantly felt the need to copy what they where doin to the records, so i began my deejayin days on two stereo turntables and no mixer trying to blend one record in with another just by lowering the volume etc and listening to the sounds of run dmc / aleem / grandmaster flash / afrika bambaataa / keymatic / capt rock / herbie hancock / b-boys / newcleus and doug e fresh etc just wetted my appetite for more and this was the start of a new era........................................ Then came along hip house / acid house & the breakbeat hardcore scene, which is what we all now call old skool rave, i remember listening to stu allen every weekend & recording his mixes onto C90 tapes, then using two tape decks to mix the tunes together to create my own mix, then i eventually managed to get my own turntables & mixer.................................................... a massive thanks to my mum & dad.
In the early 90s i was into my hardcore / rave / jungle / breakbeat etc spending most of my time djing in my bedroom making mix tapes for my mates & raving at the weekends in clubs such as the hippodrome in middleton & the eclipse in coventry, until i eventually got my first gig at the hippodrome....
In the year 2002 after deejaying at many clubs around my way, i decided to give myself a break from the scene, until my friends asked me to do some mix cds for them, so ive dusted down my decks & dug out my old vinyl plus added some mp3s & cds & started making some new mixsets to share with you.... My style in music hasnt changed, im still rollin out all the genres of drum n bass & house music plus going back to my roots with the old skool rave classics & im also known for mashing up some rap & rnb as well....
All my mixes are recorded live & direct for your listening pleasure, with no programming, just me going with the flow & havin some fun....
So please feel free to download & only one thing is asked from you in return & that is to leave a comment good or bad, all comments will be appreciated. Thanks for lookin and enjoy!.........................................................................................
